Meir founded Medison in 1996 and is Medison’s Executive Chairman, spearheading Medison’s growth to become a leading global pharma company.
Meir is Medison’s controlling shareholder. Since its inception and until May 2023, Meir served as Medison’s CEO and Chairman. In May 2023 Meir assumed his role as Executive Chairman in full capacity.
In 1937 the Jakobsohn family represented Ciba-Geigy (now Novartis), making Meir the third generation of his family in the pharma industry. He previously served as COO of M. Jakobsohn Ltd.
Meir holds a BA in Economics and Business Administration from Bar Ilan University and an MBA in Business Administration from Bradford University in the UK.
Meir serves on several boards of directors and leads a variety of philanthropic projects focusing on education and social welfare.
