We are seeking a highly driven Director, to lead Medison’s Business Development Search and Evaluation (S&E) team. The leader will be responsible for managing the S&E team, focused primarily on proactive search, intake/triage, and rigorous scientific/clinical evaluation of external partnership opportunities that align with Medison’s long-term growth strategy.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with the ability to operate as an owner, manage and inspire cross functional teams and engage effectively with C-level executives internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities across defined therapeutic areas and modalities
  • Lead structured, rigorous scientific and clinical assessments of opportunities
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs into concise evaluation summaries, one-pagers, and business cases
  • Perform competitive intelligence and landscape analyses
  • Participate in interactions with external partners to clarify data and close evaluation gaps
  • Act as a thought partner by surfacing insights, risks, and recommendations that improve the speed and quality of decisions

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences (PhD /MD). MBA is a plus.
  • At least 8 years experience in business development, licensing, investment, or corporate development within pharma/biotech. Specific experience in S&E required.
  • Strong understanding of drug development, clinical data interpretation, and regulatory pathways.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and effective in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple parallel workstreams.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with C-level executives.
  • Inspirational leader. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple complex workstreams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to create decision-ready decks/memos.
