We are looking for a highly motivated Medical Affairs Manager (MAM) who will play a key scientific and strategic leadership role within Medison Pharma Czech Republic. This position serves as a critical bridge between our innovative biopharmaceutical partners, the healthcare community, and internal cross-functional teams.

As MAM, you will shape and execute the national medical strategy, drive scientific excellence, support new product launches, and foster impactful partnerships with healthcare professionals and patient organizations - particularly in rare and severe diseases, where Medison is a global leader.

You will report directly to the Medical Head, Czech Republic, and collaborate closely with regional and global medical teams.

Responsibilities

1. Medical Strategy & Scientific Leadership

  • Co-lead the development and execution of the Medical Customer Engagement Strategy and annual Medical Affairs Plan
  • Support launch readiness, lifecycle management, and cross‑functional brand planning
  • Ensure scientific excellence and serve as the subject matter expert for assigned disease areas


2. External Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong scientific relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and medical societies
  • Lead scientific discussions and support advisory boards, symposia, and expert meetings
  • Engage with Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs) in full compliance with local regulations and internal SOPs


3. Evidence Generation & Insights

  • Support local aspects of investigator‑initiated research and other scientific projects
  • Identify data gaps and collaborate on real‑world evidence opportunities
  • Routinely collect medical insights to inform strategy and strengthen brand plans


4. Scientific Communication & Education

  • Communicate complex scientific data to internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Provide medical training to sales, marketing, and other functions
  • Lead disease‑awareness and scientific education activities across the market


5. Material Review & Compliance

  • Review and approve promotional and non‑promotional materials in accordance with Medison SOPs and local regulations
  • Ensure excellence in pharmacovigilance, risk management, and ethical conduct


6. Patient Access Support

  • Facilitate local early access to therapies in high unmet medical‑need situations
  • Collaborate with Market Access on clinical or scientific aspects relevant to reimbursement


7. Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, Finance, and Global Medical counterparts
  • Act as a scientific partner and trusted advisor within the affiliate

Requirements

  • Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or MSc in Life Sciences)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech, incl. ≥2 years in Medical Affairs
  • Rare disease experience is an advantage
  • Demonstrated success managing medical‑scientific projects end‑to‑end
  • Experience with product launches and cross‑functional collaboration
  • Strong understanding of the Czech healthcare environment
  • Ability to communicate complex scientific information clearly and credibly
  • Excellent relationship‑building skills and scientific credibility with external experts
  • Strong collaboration, active listening, and stakeholder‑management capabilities
  • High adaptability and comfort working in a dynamic, fast‑evolving environment
  • Evidence‑driven, analytical mindset; strong digital and IT proficiency
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Czech
  • Willingness to travel within the country (valid driver’s license required).
