The Medical Head position is the most senior medical representative in Czech Republic with strategic and operational accountability.

As Medical Head, you will manage all medical activities for the products under your responsibility in Czech Republic. Provide expert medical support, including education to the respective marketing teams and company divisions; hire, manage, develop and lead the Medical Affairs Managers (MAMs) and Medical Science Liaisons (MSL) in your teams, where appropriate.

You will be the expert on the Medison’s products in Czech Republic, disease states, and areas of research and drives strategic partnerships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) at peer-to-peer level, developing their knowledge and providing solutions to support appropriate use of medicines for better patient outcomes

You will report to the Medical Head Central EPM and work in close partnership with the Country Manager. You will be an active member of Leadership Team in Czech Republic. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Medical Affairs Managers and MSLs, including hiring, engagement, performance management, and professional development
  • Provide medical and scientific expertise across assigned therapeutic areas, staying current with the latest industry and clinical developments
  • Analyze and interpret scientific data, medical literature, and key journals to support strategic and operational decisions
  • Deliver scientific lectures, presentations, and internal/external educational activities
  • Act as the company’s senior medical representative in the Czech Republic
  • Engage with Medison’s suppliers as required, representing medical and scientific interests
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen scientific and medical relationships with KOLs
  • Identify and develop collaborative partnerships with physicians and healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to defining the medical and scientific strategy of a rapidly growing organization
  • Develop operational roadmaps and medical brand plans with a high level of autonomy

Requirements

  • Doctorate MD/PhD in one of the following: Doctor Life Sciences, Medical Doctor, Dentistry, Veterinarian, Pharmacist – required.
  • 8-10 years’ experience in pharma in medical or commercial role, ideally in a startup environment.
  • Candidates must have experience working in innovative companies and on innovative drugs
  • Proven in-depth scientific knowledge of the relevant therapeutic areas and related disease states; displays a natural curiosity to learn and build scientific expertise.
  • Proven people management and leadership experience is a must.
  • Fluent written and verbal language skills in English and Czech language. Strong presentation skills in both languages.
