The Accountant will champion the bookkeeping of the company’s European Headquarters, and act as a liaison ERP expert to international accounting partners, being a focal point for professional accounting and bookkeeping questions.

The successful candidate will translate finance requirements into workable NetSuite business solutions, develop and mentor international accounting partners regarding their bookkeeping accuracy and allocations, including planning, assigning, directing work, and providing constructive feedback to staff; addressing ERP issues and resolving problems.

The Accountant will manage the monthly close process and ensure proper reconciliation of Medison's global subsidiaries general ledger accounts and integrity of the financial statements. They will manage intercompany transactions between Corporate and international entities and ensure proper consolidation and eliminations of these transactions.

The successful candidate will maintain compliance with internal controls; refine policies and procedures, with continuous focus on ERP process improvement and accuracy. He/She will be responsible for overseeing the monthly trial balance close for the Medison global subsidiaries, including but not limited to bank and credit card reconciliations, posting of journal entries, fixed asset register management, month-end accruals and reconciliations, and cut-off accounts. Responsibilities will also include process Travel & expenses reports and maintain approval flow; assisting and support in the year-end audit process; assistance in improving, developing, and documenting accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls; and ad hoc accounting and bookkeeping projects as needed.

The position could be located anywhere in the CEE region.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison ERP specialist to foreign accounting partners, being a focal point for professional accounting and bookkeeping questions
  • Translate Finance requirements into workable NetSuite business solutions
  • Develop and mentor foreign accounting partners regarding their bookkeeping accuracy and allocations, including planning, assigning, directing work, and providing constructive feedback to staff; addressing ERP issues and resolving problem.
  • Ensure completion of tasks, milestones, components to maintain project progression
  • Manage the monthly close process and ensure proper reconciliation of Medison's global subsidiaries general ledger accounts and integrity of the financial statements
  • Manage intercompany transactions between Corporate and foreign entities and ensure proper consolidation and eliminations of these transactions
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls; refine policies and procedures, with continuous focus on ERP process improvement and accuracy

Requirements

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping, and experience in a global company and multi-currency environment. A solid user experience in ERP systems is a must, NetSuite project implementation experience is a plus.
  • The successful candidate will be a Certified Bookkeeper . Previous working Experience in a public company is an advantage. Fluent English is essential for this role. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel.
