The Country Manager will represent Medison Pharma in Bulgaria and will be responsible for the organization of the affiliate in terms of business development, operational structure, people leadership and financial results. The role ensures all operations are aligned with the organization’s vision, values, culture and strategic objectives, corporate policies and compliance standards. The Country Manager will understand the business model in their market, assess overall market potential, identify and prioritize unique opportunities (and risks) in their local market(s), develop growth plans; hire, develop, engage and retain key talent and drive overall business results, while continuing to grow the Medison reputation as a preferred partner.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and empower subordinates to develop a high performing team and enhance cross-functional collaboration among the team and HQ
  • Establish and pursue the fulfilment of the strategic objectives of Medison by overseeing all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results in compliant way and fully aligned with the overall strategy and mission
  • Prepare the business plans for the activities in the country by allocating resources and establishing the annual sales forecast & OPEX– Profit and Loss full responsibility
  • Lead all Market access strategy for All products
  •  Lead the Brand Plans, QBRs and LE development and presentation
  • Oversee the implementation of the marketing and sales strategy for the company’s portfolio products and actively implement the necessary corrections in a timely manner
  • Participate actively in all internal and principal meetings
  • Know and comply with all the local regulations. Lead ALL operations with business integrity and in accordance with the company SOPs and policies
  • Assist and supports all regulatory, drug safety reporting and legal matters with appropriate stakeholders and in timely manner
  • Monitor the activity with logistical partners, warehouses (optimum inventory, FIFO method, timely deliveries to clients, etc.). Ensures all forecasts are sent in a timely manner to all \ appropriate stakeholders.
  • Represent Medison amongst (internal and external) clients, governmental and private institutions involved in the company’s affairs – Develop and establish trustful collaboration
  • Implement support & submissions to all appropriate stakeholders in timely manner and in line with corporate strategy
  • Identify the market opportunities and support The Cluster Head and the VP International with business cases
  • Manage close and collaborative alliances with the relevant functions with all the partners to ensure business satisfaction and continuity and to meet business goals
  • Liaise with all external stakeholders for all local operational matters and to communicate to key internal stakeholders with Mеdison

Requirements

  • University degree in Economics or Natural Sciences, MBA is a plus
  • 10-15 years progressive experience in pharma, ideally gained in Commercial or Medical leadership roles
  • Fluency in English required; knowledge of the country specific language(s) is a must
  • Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and deep proven understanding of the local health market: with its regulations, challenges, the relevant products, competitors, and customers
  • Successful previous experience working in a multicultural environment in a similar position
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of process/project management requirements and expectations
  • Demonstrated abilities in successful Market Access and Negotiations skills
