Slovakian Office
Our office headquarters are located in the heart of Bratislava and we employ physicians, specialists, regulatory and technical people.
Our main activity is to introduce and market pharmaceutical products in the country, although we also run a private hospital, the Iscare Clinic, which is the leading IVF center in Slovakia.
It was established in 1998. The office is managed by General Manager Anna Maňáková, who has over a decade of experience in marketing pharmaceuticals.
Anna Maňáková - General Manager, Slovakian Office
Anna Maňáková has managed Medison’s Slovakian office ISCARE, a.s., Slovakia since mid 2006. She has over a decade of experience in marketing pharmaceuticals. From 1997 to 2006, Anna served as the Business Manager of CSC Pharmaceuticals Handels, the factor of Medicom Slovakia s.r.o. She also has skills in credit and finance. Anna Maňáková hols a B.Sc in Economics from the Technical University of Bratislava.
Prof. Jozef Valky, M.D., PhD- Co-director & Chief Medical Officer
Prof. Jozef Valky is one of the leaders of Slovak Infertility association, a chief expert of MoH of Slovak Republik for Reproductive medicine and chief gynecologist of ISCARE – Center of assisted reproduction. Dr. Valky graduated in general medicine in Bratislava, specialising in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before completing his MD in 1966. Throughout his professional career, Dr. Valky has been involved in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, and has focused his activities in this field for the last 15 years, studying in the USA, Sweden, Germany and the UK. Prior to establishing Iscare in 1999, Dr. Valky held the position of head physician of the 1st gynaecological clinic of the Bratislava University Hospital, where he also established the IVF unit in which the first Slovak IVF baby was born in 1991. This tenure was broken during 1990-1, when Dr. Valky spent one year in Kuwait, following Desert Storm. Dr. Valky's interests also include laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, fields where he is among the pioneers in the Slovak Republic. The standard of healthcare in Slovakia varies, but is generally considered reasonable. Doctors in the main cities have a world class standard. Everyday ailments are well treated but serious ailments are best treated elsewhere.
