Automated genetic testing systems for the Israeli market

Medison Pharma has signed an agreement with Cepheid for exclusive representation of its on-demand molecular diagnostics products in Israel, GeneXpert. This unique system provide rapid, sophisticated genetic testing for organisms and genetic-based diseases by automating otherwise complex manual laboratory procedures. By adding Cephid’s diagnostic products to the range that it distributes in Israel, Medison Pharma expands its hold within the local diagnostic market. Marketing activity will be conducted jointly by Medison’s Diagnostics and Pharma divisions. Meir Jakobsohn, President of Medison Pharma, welcomes the development as a natural progression: "This agreement is another part of our continued efforts to import the most innovative diagnostic products.
